Is The O.C. Over?
I didn’t watch The O.C. until last season and I was never all that impressed by it. This show seems to be headed towards getting canned.
Fox has only ordered 16 episodes of the show for next year according to E! Online.
Considering that 22 episodes of a show constitute your typical season and The O.C. has averaged 25 a season during its three-year run, this doesn’t bode well for the prime-time soap, although a Fox spokesperson said that since it doesn’t premiere until Nov. 2 (allowing for baseball’s World Series) this fall, there’s no technical reason to have a full schedule of episodes.
If the network airs all 16 new episodes in a row, it will be out of O.C. by February, giving Fox the opportunity to take a midseason replacement for a test drive, Variety reported Wednesday.
The O.C. will be competing head to head with Grey’s Anatomy which will be moving to Thursday night. Also, having killed off Mischa Barton, and entering its fourth season, the show appears to be headed towards being replaced later this season.

this is the biggest bullshit ever. the oc shouldnt be cancled or REPLACED ESPECIALLY BY GREYS ANATOMY OR WTV YOU WANNA CALL IT. the oc was such a different and original show. it did not only grow with me and many others teens but it helped us with problems and made us into who we are today. the oc shoudlnt be killed off because a character died, yes i love marissa cooper she was one of the main characters but josh needs to also make the show fresh and bring new things along the way if we keep dragging characters then the show will be boring. i say please dont cancle the oc, its such an amazing show and why would you guys wanna end such an amazing thing.. im sure josh worked super hard and everyone who was involved in the making of the show, the oc was different, unique.. one of the reasons i watched tv. ill always remember the first time i watched the oc, made me want to be me.
Unique? are you fucking kidding me, This just in watch a new drama about kids who are rich and bitch about how hard life is as they grow up in a mansion and threaten to run away because there is no milk left in the fridge. Please, shut the hell up you emo dumbass, nobody cares about the O.C. other than people that should be living their lives or think they got it rough when they have everything spoon fed to them in all cases people who should be shot, eat shit.
The Dumb Ass named Ryan is prolly some poor kid that lives in a trailer and can’t relate to Rich people so shut the hell up…
actually, i LOVE the oc. it was unique and different, it had so many different conflicts that other shows couldn’t have. the kids were mature & it showed that anything can happen—from marrisa trying to kill herself, from luke’s dad being gay. it wasn’t just all about rich snobby kids-half of the kids hated it there, and the other half were going through problems like we are. THATS why the show was so succesful, it kept you hooked on it..and it made you want to watch it. if it was an awful show, it wouldn’t have made it this far. the oc was an amazing show, that made me look foward to every thursday night. so shutup “ryan” you probably didn’t watch most of the shows, so don’t judge it.
I like the O.C too.. I really dont think it should be cancled…
the o.c is top. will there be another series? i have watched every episode and got all the box sets and i dont know how people can watch the oc and not find it good.

hey . you guys kind of said it all so i`m only gonna say that i loved , I cried , i laughed , I felt anger . Personally i don`t have such nice life at home ( step mom military dad etc. can`t get out of the house without permission and no more than a few hours limited time at the PC etc ) so when i watched OC i felt free again happy , i felt weird like i had a real friend besides me
I wished that they would never end it but every start has to have an end
for the end I would like to say that i will always keep Oc close to my heart and soul
