More and more info continues to surface from Mel Gibson’s wild night last week before being pulled over for DUI.  TMZ reports:

TMZ has learned when an allegedly inebriated Mel Gibson left Malibu’s Moonshadows restaurant in the wee hours of Friday morning, he walked past the valet attendant with his head down, hands behind his back and uttered “I’m f****d up.”

Shortly thereafter, as TMZ first reported, Gibson was arrested for driving 87 mph in a 45-mph zone with a blood-alcohol level of 0.12 (the state limit is 0.08).

In Touch Weekly obtained photos of Gibson partying before his arrest.

Ouch! It appears by these photos that Pamela Anderson snagged her snatch while trying to put her daisy dukes back on over her swimsuit bottom.  It is  unclear if these were taken before or after her wedding to rocker Kid Rock. She has her wedding hat on so I would assume they were made the same day.

We can see Pamela in the photo below checking to see if she will even need to make an appointment to get waxed this month or if she took care of it herself earlier in the day.

Heath Ledger has become a hero to the gay community and a father with girlfriend Michelle Williams in the past year. The gay cowboy will be turning in his spurs for green hair dye and lipstick as Heath has been cast to play the Joker in the Batman Begins sequel titled The Dark Knight.

Heath Ledger has indeed signed on to play The Joker in the film.

Speculation has begun on the casting of the movie’s other roles. Phillip Seymour Hoffman has reportedly been offered the role of The Penguin, although it is said to be unlikely that he would accept it. According to BOF, in this film The Penguin will be tranformed into a British arms dealer/mob boss with designs on Gotham.” In the long running comic series, the character has been more of a gentleman villain.

Christian Bale will also be returning to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman. Bale has expressed interest in making a second film with The Joker storyline in more than a few media interviews.

ABC has cancelled Mel Gibson’s mini-series on the Holocaust after Gibson’s drunken anti-Semitic slurs after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Gibson was not expected to act in the 4-hour mini-series, nor was it certain that his name would even be publicly attached to the final product. But Quinn Taylor, ABC’s senior vice president for movies for television, had said at the time the project was announced that the attention-getting value of having Gibson attached was a factor in greenlighting the Holocaust project.

After the huge success of his The Passion of the Christ, networks and studios sought out Gibson and his Icon production company because they felt he’d reached a previously untapped spiritual audience for Hollywood entertainment. But the attention-getting value of having Gibson attached to the Holocaust project post-DUI arrest is what got the project killed at ABC.

I guess Mel said it best the night he was pulled over, “My life is f****d.”

Recovery for Gibson: According to Gibson’s rep he has entered a recovery program. 

Gibson’s rep, Alan Nierob, exclusively tells Star, “He is in a program of recovery at this time.”

Chris Prentiss, a neighbor of Gibson’s and the co-founder of celebrity treatment centre Passages in Malibu, Calif., tells Star: “I understand he has gone to a treatment centre. The center that I’ve heard he’s checked himself into follows the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step program. And I don’t believe that will help him.”

“He needs individual intense therapy by a team of people who know what they are looking for in causes in alcoholism.”

Fidel Castro signed over his dictatorship/power of Cuba to his brother Raul before undergoing surgery Monday night.

The Cuban leader said he had suffered gastrointestinal bleeding, apparently due to stress from recent public appearances in Argentina and Cuba, according to a letter read live on television by his secretary, Carlos Valenciaga.

“The operation obligates me to undertake several weeks of rest,” said the letter. Extreme stress “had provoked in me a sharp intestinal crisis with sustained bleeding that obligated me to undergo a complicated surgical procedure.”

Castro said he was temporarily relinquishing the presidency to his younger brother and successor Raul, the defense minister, but said the move was of “a provisional character.”

Cubans all across Miami and the U.S. started celebrating upon hearing the news. No one should party too hard because his brother Raul is more radical and crazy than Fidel is.
