Katie Holmes has her dress for her wedding to dwarf star Tom Cruise, but her parents are still furious. Papa and Momma Holmes are upset that the wedding will take place and be conducted by the Church of Scientology. Katie grew up Catholic and her parents are insisting upon a wedding in the Catholic church.

Katie was born a Roman Catholic and went to parochial schools growing up in Toledo, Ohio, and so it would only be fitting for her to be married with the usual Catholic rites — not in a Scientology ceremony, in which the bride is sometimes called a “girl” marrying a “man” and in which one of the solemn “pacts” of marriage is that the couple agree not to go to bed angry.

Rumors are that Kat’s parents could possibly boycott the wedding if they don’t get their way.  At this rate baby Suri will be able to be a bridesmaid by the time the wedding actually takes place.
