49th Annual Grammy Award Winners

Here is a rundown of the big winners from the 49th annual Grammy Awards. It is sad to see how political the show has become, when you consider that the Dixie Chicks aren’t even the #1 artist in country music. However, they went on to win five Grammy awards on Sunday night. Other big winners were Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Carrie Underwood and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

How in the world could the Dixie Chicks have won so many awards for an album that wasn’t even in the top 10 in sales? Their album was over two million sales short of Carrie Underwood’s album, which should have run away with best album of the year. And awards for Jimmy Carter? The Clintons? What a joke the Grammy’s have turned into, just a self-love session for those on the “Religious Left”.

I agree with RJ what a sham. I loved it when I saw Reba come in with all those guys in their black western hats. Did you see Cowboy Troy? I can’t wait to hear the comments from some of the other Country Music Fans. How do you win an award when you sell less than your cometetor? Just say your ashamed of your president and half of it’s people that don’t agree with you that’s how.

Why in the world would Al Gore be a presenter at the Grammys? It all boils down to politics and it sux. On a positive note…Christina Aguilera’s performance should go down in Grammy history…absolutely amazing!

Totally unbelievable. There is no way the Dixie Chickens could have won 5 Grammy Awards without a fix. Amazing. Shameful people. Frankly, if I was a Dixie Chicken I would have been embarassed to accept a Grammy knowing full well I did not earn or deserve it. I hear next year Anna Nicole Smith will be presenting.
