‘American Idol’s’ Antonella Barba Scandal Grows
A couple of days ago we posted the photo of Antonella Barba topless on the beach showing off with some of her friends. I thought it was pretty tame since they were all covering their breasts with their hands. Well that is about as tame as it has been for Antonella since then. Remember Frenchie Davis from American Idol? Frenchie Davis was booted from Idol’s Season 2 after producers discovered she had worked for a dirty website. The revelation came after the Smoking Gun reported that Davis posed topless for a website to earn college tuition money.
Well, Antonella Barba should be kicked off American Idol too … in the same way that they booted Frenchie Davis. Antonella always seems modest (the goodie two shoes!) on American Idol this season, but it seems Antonella Barba took the dirty image to another level.
No more ‘Trump - 2nd chances!’ She’s got to go! … Anyway I could hear the American Idol Producers already stating and coming to Antonella’s defense, “Well, Miss Antonella Barba took these photos during a past personal and intimate relationship!”

I agree with stewfig.. she must be removed, and will be removed if for no other reason that to maintain the integrity of the American Idol competition. Let me explain.
If she is allowed to continue, FreeMantleMedia, the parent of AI, would open themselves up to a lawsuit from Frenchie Davis. Im sure she is just waiting to see what happens. But thats really not the main reason.
There is no doubt that American Idol has maintained its programming to focus on the singing. While personal image is part of being a performer, AI has always kept the focus on the singing. Should they allow all this Barba mess to be allowed, this lays down a new gauntlet that AI will NOW be about how a contestant can get their name out and spread around in the media and the web. Contestants in the future will make sure that racy, innuendo pictures are taken prior to their competing. Or make sure that friends post them on a website to increase their chances. No longer will the focus be on the singing, but on how much a contestant is willing to spend on promoting themselves independently. This would kill the integrity of the AI image. This is why she MUST be removed…if for nothing else, to maintain a standard of fair competition, and keep it a singing contest, not a promotional one.
Some1 just leaked out Antonella Barba’s pics that have been circling around to get her kicked off the show. Her private life is hers and hers only. She has a great personality. People should be thinking about that. And she has a GREAT voice. She didn’t pick the right song in her last performace but shes still a great singer. I hope people can stop the picture controversy.
GIve me a break, Frenchie was PAID for her pics and Antonella wasn’t. Completely different situations…Leave her on, she will be gone in another week or so anyway, but I will vote for her
The American Idol discussion boards are censoring anyone who makes a post commenting that they are offended or outraged by Barba’s behavior. The posts and/or entire threads disappear in a matter of minutes, and going there to say you think she has tarnished the AI show will likely get you banned.
I can’t imagine why they would not let the fans of the show express their displeasure with her disgusting actions. She needs to be booted off the show immediately and make an apology to the WWII veterans’ families for desecrating their memorial.

Antonella gets the boot tomorrow or very soon thereafter. Trust me Idol doesn’t like sex scandals. they tolerate it b/c they will have a huge ratings spike b/c of it but they don’t want to tarnish their squeaky clean mainstream image and lose out on the millions in advertising dollars that this machine has generated. What other show can be on 3 nights a week with over 20 M viewers a night? Its unprecedented and they’re not going to mess it up for dumb old antonella. Remember william hung sold 40,000 records. That’s more than K-Fed and he had Britney on his album. Idol is a machine and they’re not going to jeopardize that.

that is not antonella in the photos of her giving oral. if you look closely , antonella breast size in the memorial is a full b size. and in the oral shot, that person is clearly
a small A cup bra size. unless this was taken few years back which will make her a minor, in the photo.
All of you girls that are getting on her case about being a “slut”, have either never had a boyfriend (and if your too lame to take some nudy pics for him you never will) or your some religious nut. Can any 20 year old college girl clame they have not had an intimate relationship with a member of the opposite sex? I’ve been lucky enough to go out with some really nice girls that were raised correctly. They respescted their families and had good morals. Not one of them was opposed to taking nude photo’s in private. The only difference between her and other girls who’s photo’s never get seen was her poor choice in friends. I think the sad thing is that she sucks as a singer, but due to publicity like this (and people who vote just to vote) she will be kept on the show well after she should be. Up until this point, people have left the show that weren’t so great. However, I really hope it doesn’t get down to her beating out someone who really should have gone further in the competition just because of this stupid “scandal”. Oh wait, that already happened. Frenchie told the producers about the pictures herself they were never seen by anyone in the public. One week later they decided to kick her off the show then 1 hour later offered her a recording contract, she refuse it and left the show. She was interview on XW radio Monday night with someone else who back her story. It shows how AI producers are rigging the show, especially the year Carrie,Bo,Vonzell were the top 3. Vonzell was told she couldn’t sing her best song because of Whitney’s producer forbided it. The expression on her face when she finished her song told it all. She cried like someone died in her family, knowing that the next day she was getting voted off. The integrity of the show has no merit, plus it’s show how shallow americans are when you’ll vote(phone company make $.99 for every vote you cast) in numbers for american idols but will not show up to vote in the political election. Then complain about issues we have in America. People died to have the right to vote and you waste it on this bull@#$%.

Having just returned from a tour of Western Europe which started out as a business trip, I suggest that you prudes do the same. All of the young and not-so-young attractive women sunbathe topless.
