Four voted off ‘American Idol’
Tonight was an episode for the losers as two guys and two gals were voted off of the hit Fox reality show American Idol. The show tonight was what I like to call a filler episode that lacked any true substance and was a waste of time except to find out who the first four losers are. Each of the four losers got a chance to sing after finding out from Ryan Seacrest that they had received the fewest votes from fans who called in the previous two nights.
Four saw the door as `American Idol’ whittled its 24 semifinalists down to 20 Thursday night. Amy Krebs, Nicole Tranquillo, Paul Kim and Rudy Cardenas were cast off by viewers getting their first chance to vote in the top-rated talent contest’s sixth season.
Former winner Fantasia performed during the show and also announced that she will be playing Celie in the Broadway musical version of The Color Purple.
