America Ferrera’s Ignorance of America

Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera showed once again that Hollywood celebrities should shut up when it comes to politics. She had this comment that I assume was a jab at President Bush, yet is seems to make little since.

Here is what she had to say in her exchange with Zach Braff at the ‘Spirit Awards’:

In the scripted exchange, Braff asked: “So do you think that you have any traits in common with the country that is your namesake?â€? Ferrera replied: “I guess I’m a free-spirited person and America’s supposedly the ‘land of the free,’ right?â€? She then added, to loud applause from the left coast film industry audience: “Or at least we will be in 2008.â€?

Free in 2008? She is trying to reference when President Bush leaves office, but he actually leaves in January of 2009. I also don’t get the reference to not being free at the moment? I sure live a free life in a free country. Perhaps if I was in Iraq, Iran or North Korea I would feel different, but we can all do more than we need to in the USA. Just ask Antonella Barba or Britney Spears about their lack of freedom. Maybe America should change her name to Darfur Ferrera, North Korea Ferrera or something along those lines.

I guess in your world she isn’t allowed to have an opinion that doesn’t gel with what you think. It’s people like you who make Amerikkka just the exact opposite of what you all claim it to be.

And I guess it is people like you (Lili) who don’t allow me to have an opinion. I never said she couldn’t have an opinion. I just stated that celebs should think before saying something that doesnt make sense. I know, at times, I sure wish I would.

It’s a shame how dunb America is…. both the people who believe celebrities and those how believe the left. After 911 All senate/house wanted war, but in their selfish wish to control government they bash bush. This war Stopped countless terrorist attacks, Never!!!! forget that. It’s now soooo hip to bash bush, he is doing whats best for us all. Unfortunately hollywood is too “bandwagoned” to think for themselves. Please know I hate war, but it saves lives. Imstead of watching the news which is controlled by ratings, try reading books from experts who have studied the middle east for decades. I’m not afraid to debate, here is my email roba60hotmail.com, please put politics in the subject line so I don’t delete your thoughts as junk mail.
    good day

A little editoral to any woman who are considering on voteing for Hillary JUST because she is female, you should lose all voting rights! (kidding)She lies almost as much as bill. He has a forked tongue and so does she. Bill’s biggest promise was Hillary was going to give us all free health care during his first term, but by may she said it wasn’t possible. I believe she has a horrble POLITICAl tongue which isn’t good. I would love to see a female president, but please don’t fall for her lies. She will stop at nothing to win.
