The Overly (lol) Generous Jessica Simpson
I love how PEOPLE magazine gives Jessica Simpson their leading story for donating a Mini-Van to an orphanage in Mexico. But there is an (shady) Oprah twist below as you will read.
The pop star, 26, drew cheers when she drove through the gates of the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, in a white 2007 Chrysler Town & Country and handed the keys to Mama Lupita, who runs the home.
“The kids were cheering when she pulled up,” Simpson’s rep tells PEOPLE. “They surrounded the car and were so excited to see her. They kept saying, ‘Muchas gracias! Muchas gracias!’ A few of them spoke English and said, ‘We love you, Jessica!’ “
Of course Jessica gets the headline but didn’t even buy the rather cheap Mini-Van. She won the vehicle last year at an awards show. Jess open up your tight wallet and buy the orphanage a fleet of vehicles or upgrades to the building. I can re-wrap gifts I receive and give to other people as well.
Last fall, Simpson won a Chrysler Crossfire sports car at a swag suite at the MTV’s Video Music Awards, but asked Chrysler to exchange it for a minivan so she could help out the orphanage.
A spokesperson for Chrysler confirmed: “Instead of the Chrysler Crossfire, she decided to get a minivan for the orphanage instead. She went for the Chrysler Town & Country.”

Dear Beloved Miss Jessica Simpson.
Greetings you in the wonderful name of Jesus.
I really praise God that he has privileged me to write this letter to you for your kind involvement in my ministry. I am a President and Founder, Mr. Peter. HOLY LAND MINISTRIES INDIA is a registered non-religious Charity, There are many Orphan children, Aids, Leprosy children, and Hungry street children who have no accommodation, and are basically starving. We are not able to provide housing for these people, but we do take to the streets with food and utensils so these people won’t die to starvation. It costs very little to feed many people Our Ministry consists of hunger, mockeries and persecutions.
We have been looking after 40 orphan, Aids and Street children. Every orphan child has a heart breaking history. We found them in a miserable and sympathetic condition. They lost their parents in cyclones, floods, fire accidents etc. We brought them to us to take care of them. In the beginning it was beyond our limits to console them. They slowly accustomed to our love and care. Our aim is to bring them up in Godliness and see that they are living witness to Jesus. Unfortunately our resources are very limited and so we are not able to feed them regularly two times a day. Some of them get up at mid nights and begin to cry, because they are hungry. For want of funds we are not able to give them sufficient food. At such times they get up from their plates with their half filled bellies. And so they seat o be gloomy and sick we have to provide them food, shelter, clothes, coverings send them to school and pay their medical bills. But it is very difficult for us to look after all these needs in these days of famine and soaring prices.
If there is a any regular support we will be able to feed the parentless hungry kids two times every day. You can help with your generous Donation in meeting their daily needs and establishing a safe and secure future for them. As the situation for the children is challenging, any donation, large or small, will improve their living conditions, their health, their daily routine, and their quality of life. Please stretch your hand of compassion to fill their bellies and wipe the tears on their tender cheeks as a godmother & godfather.
