Hoorah! Gina Glocksen gets ‘A.I.’ Boot
Gina Glocksen and her tongue ring are going home. The alternative wanna-be rocker chick was voted off of American Idol. I believe her tongue ring played a role. For one it affected her singing and slurred her words, and secondly there is a large part of America that didn’t vote for her because of her ‘trashy’ tongue ring.
The top three were LaKisha Jones, Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle.
The middle three were Blake Lewis, Chris Richardson and Sanjaya Malakar
The bottom three were Phil Stacey, Haley Scarnato and Gina Glocksen
I slammed Gina’s performance of ‘Smile’ last night because it is a horribly weak song, especially for a wanna-be rocker. The song was on Michael Jackson’s HIStory album and we all saw all that turned out.

Yea, those pierced tonque put me away from voting her.
Most of my friends agree, they don’t like those pierced tongue. American idol is personality and how you show yourself to the american people. Pierced tonque is low class and kind of gangs and low life kind of stuff.
And she has tatoo too in her leg. Did you notice?
thought gina was awsome. People get real, lots of people have tatoos and tounge rings now days. Nothing wrong with that, she could sing well and thats what matters. Quit judging people by how they look, that is a thing of the past.

Gina was breath of fresh air, sure, no vocal genius, but could carry a tune better than Haley or Jordin, this vote was a travesty, but then again it highlights that at least its gonna be up to one opinionated sod like you, and that obviously she is remarkably talented to make it this far. I simply stated why she was voted off. The tongue ring appears trashy to most of America (who vote) and it affected her singing. She had more than one music legend mentor say that she had trouble enunciating her words. And if you have any experience with tongue rings you will know that tongue rings just do that.
Her singing ‘Smile’ did her in. It’s a horrible song that Charlie Chaplin and Michael Jackson (after his prime) have sung.

I hated Gina’s attitude.
My ex is an amazingly talented, trained vocalist. He is an educated, well-spoken, good-looking guy who happened to have his tongue pierced. He is not low class and not a thug, however, when he performed he always took out the tongue ring because it affected his enunciation. I didn’t judge Gina by her tongue ring or her appearance, however, it DID affect her performance.
