ABC gives Cavemen own TV Show

Desperate ABC is looking for a prime time hit so bad that they are turning to the Geico cavemen.  The hairy pre-historic men are getting their own TV show based on their successful and funny commercial series from the insurance giant.  The show will be called Cavemen.

The network even picked up a comedy called “Cavemen,” adapted from the Geico commercials as an offbeat commentary on ethnic prejudice from the perspective of three prehistoric guys trying to make their way in the modern world.

Cavemen are funny in 30 second spots. Will they be able to be as funny for more than 20 minutes once a week? I doubt it but we shall see.
