Jordin Sparks Set to Become New ‘American Idol’
Jordin Sparks has come a long way during this season of American Idol. The mature seventeen year old seemed shy and awkward for the first few weeks on the show. Then it became readily apparent that she was the most talented and skilled contestant on the reality singing show this season.
Tonight she showed America that she is an American Idol by pimp slapping Blake Lewis all over the stage. At the end of the show, the judges couldn’t help but sound as if they were campaigning openly for Jordin to win. She was that good. Blake is absolutely talented, but Miss Sparks brought her A game and seemed to forget for 60 minutes that she is only seventeen.
Jordin and her amazing run on Idol reminds me of that Winger song from the 90’s:
‘She’s only seventeen, daddy says shes too young, but she’s old enough for me.’
Tonight I believe we will see that America agrees 100% with that sentiment.
