On Friday I asked several celebrity gossip bloggers to react to Paris Hilton’s imprisonment, release to home arrest for medical reasons and being ordered back to jail. Here is what some of them had to say:

Popbytes: “She should’ve done her time and moved on showing everyone that she could handle her sentence like a grown up but oh no - she had to stir the drama pot - and now she’s in a BIGGER mess than before!”

Right Celebrity: “We can only hope that Paris Hilton will inspire Joe Francis to shoot his first Girls Gone Jailed video.”

Celebslam: “This whole thing reminds me of Shawshank Redemption … but with less innocence and more herpes.”

Fatback and Collards: “Let’s all take a moment to reflect on this. You know, we should show our solidarity by doing things that free people do, like for instance: not have to sleep in a prison. With prisoners. Yeah that’ll show those meanies. Paris we’re here for you. On the outside. Living free and non incarcerated. Just walking around, driving places, eating stuff, drinking beers. Don’t get raped!”

Bumpshack: “Paris will be so reformed, humbled and inspired after her jail stint that she will take over the Billy Graham Ministries and lead thousands of people to Christ all over the world. Amen!”

Hollywood Backwash: “Paris screamed and cried for her mother as she was taken back to jail to finish her (well deserved) 23 day sentence. Now the entire world has seen the character and strength that Rick and Kathy Hilton instilled in their children. Good job guys!”

Backseat Cuddler: “This whole thing is completely ridiculous. I truly feel sorry for the poor girl. Yes, Paris should be punished for breaking the law, however, most ordinary citizens committing the same crime would not have received such a harsh sentence. Add to that the fact that she was released, hauled back to court in handcuffs, dragged back to jail, and wasn’t receiving her medication, no wonder she was “teetering on the brink!” I think the statement she released and her decision not to appeal showed great intestinal fortitude.”
