USC Coed Gets Off After Dumping Dead Babies
A USC female student had a judge dismiss the charge of murder against her for killing her newborn child by dumping him in a dumpster behind the school after giving birth. It will speak volumes about our judicial system if she gets off without serving any time at all while Paris Hilton remains in jail for driving on a suspended license.
Holly Ashcraft, a 22-year-old architecture major who has stood trial for two years, still faces a June 27 hearing for one charge of child abuse.
Ashcraft was arrested in October 2005 after a newborn was found in a Dumpster behind the 29th Street Cafe. DNA evidence proved it was her son.
Prosecuting Deputy District Attorney Franco Barrata had cited a coroner’s conclusion that the baby was born alive, but defense attorney Mark Geragos had repeatedly challenged that assertion in court.
The case had prominently featured expert testimony by deputy medical examiner David B. Whiteman, who said the deceased infant’s lungs were partially inflated, indicating a live birth.
But two medical experts from USC’s Keck School of Medicine reviewed the final autopsy report and found little evidence of a live birth.
The scariest thing is that this is the SECOND time that this lady has done this and likely will still serve NO jail time while Paris Hilton remains in jail for 45 days for driving on a suspended license.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Ashcraft was investigated in 2004 for similar charges after she showed up at Good Samaritan Hospital having recently given birth, but without a baby.
She said the baby was stillborn, and police could never find the baby’s body to verify her claim, the Times reported.

So disturbing, especially since she could leave the infant at any police/fire dept in LA - no questions asked!
That’s some mental illness she’s got going on there. Have unsafe sex and carry the fetus while in denial, wake up in labor, kill baby, and finally dump the body somewhere nifty like a dumpser near her home.
And repeat!
Who would be so desperate to sleep with this lilith? Can’t she be compelled to have her tubes tied, or at least do Paris time, in population so some jail house justice can be meted out.
I can’t believe she has done it twice and she gets to go free. A person with a petty drug charge gets into more trouble than people that kill babies and rape kids. They would be better off getting her for a drug charge, then maybe she will be, behind bars longer. Looks like we need to rewrite the law, start from scratch.
Recently, two woman were charge with torturing a five year old child. These women are Afro-Americans. Their hideous crimes, this child endured for a year plus. Yet he survives. The uproar will more than likely land both Afro-American women in prison for 5 years or more. Yet the white female student from U.S.C kills one or maybe more child and she is free in America. Next time you dispute that racism paints our country, step back and see the whole painting.
