Troubled alcoholic actress Lindsay Lohan has turned herself into police in relation to the Memorial Day weekend car crash she had in Beverly Hills while driving drunk.

Lohan’s blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash was above .08, California’s legal limit, said Ballieweg, who did not disclose how high it was. She is also under arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor hit and run, he said.

Lohan was released on her own recognizance. A court date was scheduled for August 24.

Two others were in the car when it crashed, Lohan then checked into a local hospital. Police tracked her down and arrested her in the hospital after receiving a 911 call about the accident. She could also face hit-n-run charges in addition to Driving Under the Influence.

It has been a busy week for Lohan since being released from rehab last Sunday.  Since then news about stolen nude photos of her has surfaced and now today she surrendered to police custody over her crash.  Don’t forget she just turned 21 this month.
