Paul Stanley’s Heart Problem Creates KISS Trio
The bad news is that the super rock group KISS performed for the first time last night as a trio. The good news is that Paul Stanley is alive. Pual’s heart problem caused him to miss the Saturday night concert. All is looking better after a bad scare during the sound check on Friday.
“During sound check yesterday, my heart spontaneously jumped to 190 plus beats per minute where it stayed for over an hour necessitating paramedics to start an IV and give me a shot to momentarily stop my heart and get it into a normal pattern,” Stanley said in the Saturday Web site posting.
Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer performed their full show at the sold out concert in San Juancito, California. Stanley is 55 and was born Stanley Eisen. It was the first time in the bands thirty-five year history they have performed as a trio.
