Scorsese’s ‘Stone’s Documentary Gets Delayed til April
Renowned diroctor Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film documentary of the legendary Rolling Stones is being delayed and won’t hit theaters until at least April of 2008.
The theatrical release of Martin Scorsese’s concert documentary about the Rolling Stones has been postponed by seven months to April, distributor Paramount Classics said Thursday.
The film was shot during two performances at New York’s Beacon Theatre in the fall, when guest performers included bluesman Buddy Guy, Jack White of rock duo the White Stripes and pop singer Christina Aguilera.
Scorsese, who often uses Rolling Stones compositions in his movies, was in Rome early last month to screen a rough cut of the film for the band. The documentary originally had been set to open in theaters Sept. 21.
‘Shine a Light’ is the tentative title for the documentary.
