Showman Merv Griffin will be buried this afternoon in Beverly Hills.  A memorial service will follow at the Beverly Hilton.

MERV GRIFFIN will be laid to rest in Beverly Hills this afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. “The Insider” has learned that California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER will speak at the funeral.

Also, as part of the memorial service, Merv’s long-time musical director JACK SHELDON will play, “The Shadow of Your Smile,” a song that Merv often sang, Merv’s son TONY GRIFFIN said.

Merv will be sorely missed. There are not many current people in show business that can come anywhere close to the persona that was Merv Griffin.
