Justin Timberlake and funny-man Mike Myers have signed on to star in a sports comedy that is tentatively being called “The Love Guru“.  Jessica Alba and Romany Malco have also signed on to the project that will film in Toronto.

Justin will play a pro hockey player in the movie, which is set in the diverse worlds of Indian spiritualism and professional ice hockey. Mike plays an American left outside an Indian ashram and raised by gurus, who comes to the U.S. as an adult teacher, hoping to spread his message of self-help and love.

Instead, he winds up in the pro hockey arena, trying to mediate a lovers’ triangle between Toronto Maple Leafs star (ROMANY MALCO), his wife and L.A. Kings rival (Timberlake) so the Leafs can go on to vie for the Stanley Cup. JESSICA ALBA plays the team’s owner and ‘Austin Powers” VERNE TROYER plays a coach.

This sounds like a box office bomb ala “Employee of the Month“.
