Britney Spears has been clearing of dog abuse as new charges of child abuse start to hover over her Annie Lennox head.

Rumors began to surface on Friday that either Spears or one of her sons had broken the leg of the Yorkie puppy the singer bought last month for $3,000, causing the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to pay a visit the pop star’s residence.

According to Madeline Bernstein, President of the L.A. branch of the SPCA, the dog was hurt but the minor injuries were the result of an accident.
