‘American Idols Live!’ Tour Not Selling Out

The 2007 American Idols Tour is falling flatter with crowds this year than prior years. Ticket sales are down almost in every city and there have been zero sellouts to date.
No sellouts were reported for the first 30 shows, and only one topped the 93% of capacity mark. (That was the show in Glendale, Ariz., Idol winner Jordin Sparks’ home turf.) Of the 2006 tour’s first 30 shows, 17 were sellouts and another 10 exceeded 93% of capacity.
Nearly half (14) of the shows were below 60% of capacity. (Lowest was 38.9% in Birmingham, Ala., hometown of 2006 winner Taylor Hicks and 2003 champ Ruben Studdard.) In 2006, the lowest-capacity figure in the first 30 shows was 89.3%.
With consumer confidence low and ticket prices topping $60 bucks a seat, it is not that surprising that people are not ponying up to see this pseudo-celeb singers live.

That is such a shame. They claim they don’t want karaoke but contestants had better get along with the band and only play thier way. And you had better be good looking and have good moves too. One thing they dont understand is that people dont watch the show to see their pathetic judges. But we do watch to see people with no other hope of being someone suceed. I think that the way the judges treat people is reprehensible. They are lucky to be on the show. I also find it weird how hard it is to make comment about the show at the American Idol website. Weird!.
