Embarassing VMA Performance for Britney Spears
Britney Spears performance of her new song “Gimme More” at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas is getting slammed by critics and fans alike. The out-of-shape pop star more resembled a Vegas impersonator of herself.
The former Mrs. Federline sleep-walked her way through a critical performance of her new single, “Gimme More,” and camera pans to stars like Rihanna, 50 Cent and Diddy showed the crowd wasn’t really feeling it. Britney herself didn’t look too enthused by the ordeal … even seeming to forget the lyrics to her own song!
It looked like she had too much sex with Criss Angel instead of rehearsing their act together.
Get the paddles out because Britney’s career comeback is D.O.A.

OMG! Poor Brit. I am more confused as to why MTV allowed this to happen in the first place, here is an obviously troubled young girl, who has spent the better part of her life in front of cameras. Not that I am making any excuses for her because I am the last person on earth that thinks we should feel sorry for these people who have it so hard with their millions and nannies getting everything handed to them on a plate. But why would we encourage this? Rhianna obviuously found it amusing with her “laugh” caught on camera and Fifty cents’s look of “is this really happening?” whilst she stumbles on stage, forgets lines and writhes around like a bad stripper. Apart from the amusement of this all, here is a girl that in the past few months has flashed cameras, had a nasty divorce, no family and a bunch of cowards that take in a paycheck and do not have the guts to tell the girl to clean up her act! This girl needs help and instead of the whole world laughing at her and this HUGE mishap, labelling her a washed up starlet and a bad mother, how about we step back be the bigger people and quit encouraging this crap. If Britney does not clean up her act she will be the next Marilyn Monroe, why isn’t anyone helping her? it drives me crazy. The corporate pigs just see money signs. There is no emotion at all in her eyes, she is a little girl lost. Someone please help her! thats my two cents….over and out.

I watched the performance and unfortunately it looked like a dress rehersal rather than the real deal. She shouldn’t have been out partying all night the night before.
The song is a hit, now she just needs to redeem herself with a great video for the song so we can forget about the performance. She should no better!

troubled “young girl”? I really don’t think so. At 26, she is an adult. With 2 kids, she is an adult. After a marriage and a divorce, she is an adult.
And she should start acting like one!
While it was not her best performance I think the media is being way harsh on Britney. She has 2 small children and a bum of an ex-husband to support so she had to go back to work. I think her voice is wonderful and she will be back on top in a few months.

britney looked good, and i don’t see what people are talking about when they say out of shape. she had two kids! she looks a hell of a lot better than most celebs her age. atleast she has tits, ass and legs! for days too!
she just seemed like she was uncomfortable b/c maybe she hasn’t had to lip-sync and dance at the same time in a long time. mtv is a joke anyways so who cares what they think about her performance. they need to worry about playing more videos. britney if you’re listening YOU LOOKED HOTTTTT! i like you better with dark hair though, w/ maybe some red and blonde streaks! definitely DO NOT LOSE WEIGHT. girls look better like that size for instance PINK, she is hott and she ain’t skinny. skinny is gross. britney doesn’t to do anything different except sing and dance her ass off!
I think it was pretty cool of her to get out there and do what she did.
Considering all the crap she is going through lately, no wonder the performance wasn’t of usual Britney status.
I mean, come on.
She seems depressed, and would you really want to go in front of a bunch of people and do that?
Probably not.
But she has to support her children, and so she did.
