O.J. Simpson Allowed to Post $125,000 Bail
O.J. Simpson’s lawyers and the prosecution have reached a deal where Simpson will be able to post bail. The bail has been set at $125,000.
The prosecution announced that the two sides have agreed to allow Simpson to post $125,000 cash in bail, provided he surrender his passport (but can travel freely in the U.S.) and have no contact with any witnesses, alleged victims or co-defendants in the case.
Simpson must forfeit his passport as is pretty standard with anyone facing serious felony charges. It is a pretty safe bet that the state of Nevada will have someone monitoring Simpson and his movement from state to state. Simpson’s attorney has already stated that O.J. will be heading back to Florida awaiting the next phase of legal proceedings.
