Charlize Theron has been voted the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by Esquire magazine. She is featured on the October 16th cover with her new title.

Charlize Theron has an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award. Now she’s Esquire magazine’s “sexiest woman alive.”

Past winners of the title include Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson.  The issue featuring Theron hits newsstands Oct. 16.

I honestly thought Theron’s prime was about three years ago.  I am not sure who exactly deserves the award this year though.  Jessica Alba is probably deserving but not nearly as good of an actress.

What’s up with always including ‘Alive’ in the title of the award? Was there really a lot of competition from the dead this year or something?  Wouldn’t everyone assume to be the sexiest you have to be alive?
