Spears and Federline to Appear in Court Together
Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline are scheduled to appear in court together later this afternoon. Spears testimony will not be video taped for fear it would be leaked and cause more embarrassment to the pop singer.
“Britney being deposed is a routine part of a custody battle,” L.A. family law attorney Joel Schwartz, who is not involved in the case, tells PEOPLE. “Kaplan will be asking her, and anyone else he’s subpoenaed, about her past drug and alcohol use, her apparent inability to follow court orders, and anything else that reveals whether she’s a fit mother.”
It is probably the correct decision to not videotape the deposition. Britney’s answers to being grilled by Federline’s attorneys should still be quite interesting.
