The great Daredevil Evel Knievel has died at the age of 69 due to complications from diabetes. Knievel was perhaps the only modern day daredevil and for sure the largest and loudest to ever strap on a safety helmet.

Knievel’s death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel. He had been in failing health for years, suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs.

Knievel had undergone a liver transplant in 1999 after nearly dying of hepatitis C, likely contracted through a blood transfusion after one of his bone-shattering spills.

Longtime friend and promoter Billy Rundel said Knievel had trouble breathing at his Clearwater condominium and died before an ambulance could get him to a hospital.

Evel will be missed and his been missed for almost three decades now. His death defying stunts inspired a generation of America and created an iconic image that will last long after his passing.

The University of Nebraska is set to hire LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini as their new head football coach. Pelini will replace Bill Callahan who turned Nebraska football scores into something reminiscent of the NCAA basketball tournament. The Cornhuskers were 5-7 this year.

Pelini will coach the Tigers defense Saturday in the SEC championship game against Tennessee and, according to a source close to the situation, will be in Lincoln for an announcement Monday.

Pelini and Buffalo coach Turner Gill were believed to be Tom Osborne’s final two choices to replace fired Bill Callahan.

Good riddance! LSU’s defense gave up a combined 1,000+ yards in their last two regular season games of the year against Ole Miss and Arkansas. I guess Bo was just preparing for the Nebraska job in those last two games.

The boyfriend of slain Jackson State University student Latasha Norman has confessed to killing Norman who he had been dating.  Norman disappeared on November 13th.  Stanley Dwayne Cole has confessed to killing Norman.  He then led police to her body and was then arrested and charged with murder.

Latasha Norman, a 20-year-old accounting student from Greenville, Mississippi, was found dead in a wooded area on Brown Street near County Line Road in Jackson, said Sgt. Jeffrey Scott, spokesman for the Jackson Police Department.

Norman’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Stanley Dwayne Cole, is in the Jackson jail, being held without bond in connection with the death, Scott said. He did not give a motive for the murder.

Cole was in court on another a prior count of battery against Norman when cops began questioning him about his whereabouts on the 13th.  Hopefully this winner will get the chair.

The body of Emily Sander, the secret internet porn sensation that went by the name Zoey Zane, has likely been found dead by the authorities in Kansas.

Authorities said the preliminary physical description of the body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado matches that of missing college student Emily Sander. Investigators refused to give details about the state of the body or how it was found.

Sander’s story became one of the most popular stories on the net due to the secrecy of her duel sexual identity.

There is never a good way for parents to find out that their daughter is an internet porn star. Emily Sander led a double life as an internet porn star. She did it for the cash and because she wanted to be an actress. Emily was known online to her clients as Zoey Zane. Sander/Zane is missing and it is possible that she was murdered by one of her customers.

Nude photos of 18-year-old Emily Sander appeared on a Zoey Zane Web site before she vanished, and investigators are looking into whether her modeling had anything to do with her disappearance last Friday.

“She enjoyed it. She is a young teenage girl and she wanted to be in the movies and enjoyed movies. She needed the extra money,” Nikki Watson, a close friend of Sander’s at Butler Community College, told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “Nobody in El Dorado knew besides her close friends.”

She was last seen leaving a bar near Wichita, Kansas with a man she had just met at the bar. Hopefully Zoey will end up being found. The man she met, Israel Mireles, did not show up for work the next night. His apartment was thrashed and a large quantity of blood was found. The bed sheets were missing.

This case doesn’t sound too promising. Hopefully Emily can still be located safely.

Britney Spears is pregnant with #3 according to the new issue of In Touch magazine.

We reported exclusively a couple of months back that Britney was already carrying #3.  I am not sure of the math or if that pregnancy did truly exist, is this one, or was terminated.

If Britney wants to be pregnant again then that’s her right.  I mean some people think the best way to gain custody of your kids is to just replace them with new ones.

Her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston continue to be the real losers in the Carnival de Britney.

Paris Hilton has told PEOPLE magazine that she wants to have babies so she can have play dates with on-again/off-again best bud Nicole Richie.  Richie is expecting her first child with rocker Joel Madden in January 2008.
