Reality TV star Nick Hogan, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan’s son, is being charged with reckless driving involving serious bodily injury in relation to the August 26th crash that has left his friend John Graziano paralyzed.

Hogan, 17, turned himself in Wednesday on a charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. A source close to the Hogan family tells PEOPLE that Nick will be tried as an adult.

In August, Hogan’s yellow Toyota Supra careened off a four-lane highway in Clearwater, Fla., and crashed into a 25-ft.-tall palm tree. Hogan sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital the next day.

This is a very sad case that likely won’t have a happy ending for Graziano. Nick has a reputation for being careless behind the wheel. Hopefully people will continue to see that seat belt usage is vital in saving lives.
