Heisman Trophy Race Winner: Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow Racked Up Big Numbers this Year
Bumpshack’s 2007 Heisman Trophy Award goes to University of Florida sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow. Many critics didn’t think Tebow could throw the ball as well as he ran it during his freshman year. He proved them wrong by throwing for 3,132 yards and 29 touchdowns (6 interceptions) in twelve games. He had a completion rate of 68.5%. Tebow also ran for 838 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 4.3 yards-per-carry.
Tim is the only player in NCAA history to run for 20 and throw for 20 touchdowns in the same season. He also holds the SEC’s record for rushing touchdowns (all positions). Tebow’s Stats
