Baseball’s Mitchell Report Names Superstar Players on Steroids

Major League Baseball

Today is the day that George Mitchell and Major League Baseball release the already famous ‘Mitchell Report’ about the corruption of MLB baseball since the early 90’s due to performance enhancing drugs and steroid use including (HGH) Human Growth Hormone. Baseball commissioner Bud Selig was given a copy of the report yesterday.

Portions of the report that have been leaked outline outsourcing of MLB’s drug testing program and blames everyone involved for the steroids problem over the last decade and a half.

Both lawyers told ESPN that the report assigns blame for the rise of performance-enhancing drugs in baseball “from top to bottom,” and recommends that MLB and the union agree to outsource their drug testing program to an independent agency.

While the report recognizes that Selig met fierce resistance from the union when he tried to implement tougher testing during recent years, the report says that all of baseball should have seen the warning signs that were evident years ago.

Most legal and baseball experts don’t expect any true penalties or punishments to come from the 80 or so present and former players named in the report. Although almost everyone in America, baseball fan or not, is curious as to who is named and if anyone from their favorite team is mentioned.

Brian McNamee, who use to train Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte, admitted to Mitchell that he shot Clemens in the butt several times with steroids, including winstrol, he obtained from Kirk Radomski.  McNamee also provided Pettitte with HGH to help him recover from an elbow injury in 2002, according to the report.
