Tony Dungy Returns to Coach Indy Colts

Tony Dungy has decided to return for another year as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.  The announcement was made during a 3:30pm EST press conference.

The Colts season ended at home with a loss against the San Diego Chargers last week.  Dungy led the Colts to a Super Bowl championship last year.

Team owner Jim Irsay went on to say that Dungy very likely could coach beyond next season as well.  Next year will be Tony’s seventh season as the head coach of the Colts.

Dungy is the only African-American coach to have won a Super Bowl as a head coach.
