Paige Davis Back on ‘Trading Spaces’

Paige Davis is back on TLC’s Trading Spaces after being fired from the show back in 2005. The home make-over show drew in 9 million viewers an episode at it’s peak. TLC management however decided to fire Davis and go in a new direction. After disastrous ratings, they are turning back to Davis to help save the show from cancellation.
When new management took over at TLC last year, one of their first priorities was revitalizing Trading Spaces, which at its peak drew as many as nine million viewers and was consistently Saturday night’s top-rated cable show.
Brant Pinvidic, TLC’s new senior vice president of programming, decided the only way to save the franchise was to get Davis back in the fold. It wasn’t easy. “We felt like the bad boyfriend who had dumped her at the prom,” Pinvidic says, “and now we’re asking for a second chance.”
It surely is a sweet vindication for Paige. Hopefully she is being financially rewarded in a large way for coming back and for TLC having the gall to fire her three years ago. Good luck to Paige and welcome back to Trading Spaces.

I really missed her on Trading Spaces I stopped watching it when both her and Ty Pennington left…(I was actually watching it one day when I decided I was naming my son Ty…!!)
Oh wow, a super fan!
I stopped watching when Paige left. I don’t think I will go back to it now.
Trading spaces lost its appeal when Page was gone. It just didn’t have the energy page brought to it! She made it fun to watch! I watched the first show when page came back, she gave it back the zip..
My mother and I used to watch the show and call one another to talk about it, we both loved Paige. shortly after she left, we just did not enjoy the show anymore and stopeed watching. I am looking forward to watching it again. I have to go call my mom.
I think that Paige got to enjoy the show when it was “hot”. It is now old and beaten and I don’t know if Paige can help it. Also, how many times can we see designes who are spoiled who choose to ruin someone’s room just to make a statement. Also, the quality of the work seems to be poor and there are complaints about this work. Paige was the one ray of sunshine in the whole thing and the ex-managers of the station should have the shame of her firing follow them for the rest of their disappearing career on television. Paige hopefully will go on to other bubbly appearances in other shows.
