New Orleans police officer Nicola Cotton was killed by a rape suspect when she went to question him about the rape. The man overpowered her, took her gun, and shot her several times, resulting in her tragic death.

A New Orleans police officer was shot to death with her own weapon Monday, after a man she was trying to handcuff overpowered her.

The police superintendent says Officer Nicola Cotton approached the man to question him about a rape but he attacked her and they struggled for several minutes, before he grabbed the gun and shot the officer repeatedly.

The City of New Orleans has to find a way to tackle their massive crime problem. If they don’t, the good people of the city will continue to move away, leaving New Orleans to become a city run by crooks and thugs.

New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the world, but I am not going to take my family there if they aren’t going to be safe.
