Nip/Tuck co-stars Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon were in character, out on the town in Scottsdale, before attending Sunday’s Super Bowl.  Walsh and McMahon, who play Dr. Sean McNamara and Dr. Christian Troy on FX’s Nip/Tuck, are known for sharing anything from a bottle of vodka to the same sexy blonde (or two), or even Sean’s wife on the show.

Dylan stumbling, eyes half-closed towards the entrance to the VIP area at the Maxim party at Rande Gerber’s new spot, Stone Rose at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Security guards were eyeing Dylan suspiciously, and summoned a publicist for advice. Dylan put up a fuss after he wasn’t allowed through to the VIP area, prompting one wise bodyguard to tell him his problem was “knowing when to say when,” before adding, “yo man, that was hours ago.â€?

When he finally made it into the VIP area, Dylan had to be saved from stumbling into the nearby pool by security guards who dutifully nudged him away from the water and toward land. Up at the bar, costar Julian was doing shots of tequila with two blondes while still managing to survey his (ahem) other options.

It is feel good stories like this one about Dr. Troy and Dr. McNamara that make me excited about watching such a trashy show on a regular basis.
