Barry Bonds Failed Drug Test in 2001

ESPN.com is reporting that ‘Home Run King’ Barry Bonds failed a drug test in November of 2001 just weeks after setting the single season record of 73 home runs.

The news came from a legal filing in the perjury case against Bonds. It also stated that the steroids came from his trainer Greg Anderson.

The news comes a day after Roger Clemens denied using steroids and HGH on Capital Hill.

UPDATE:  The failed test actually took place in 2000 according to ESPN.
