UPDATE: Season 7 DWTS Contestant List

Dancing with the Stars Season 6 is set to begin just in a few weeks. Today the lineup for the new season was announced. It is a diverse lineup with no major super star taking part. There are several B-listers though.

Here is a look at the list for DWTS Season 6:

• Telenovela star Cristian de la Fuente
• R&B singer Mario
• Magician Penn Gillette
• Actor Steve Guttenberg
• Olympic Gold Medal Figure Skater Kristi Yamaguchi
• Former tennis pro Monica Seles
• NFL Player Jason Taylor
• Actress Shannon Elizabeth
• Radio/TV personality Adam Carolla
• Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur
• Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin
• Actress Priscilla Presley

Who should be the favorites to win? A man has one 80% (4 out of 5) of the time during the first five seasons. The last time a woman won, was Kelly Monaco, back in season one. So it is likely to be a man. Also the celeb paired with either Cheryl Burke or Julianne Hough has won 80% of the time as well.

So one is likely to believe that Cristian de la Fuente, Mario, Penn Gillette, Steve Guttenberg, Jason Taylor or Adam Carolla should do well. I am not sure that any of them will win though. None of them seem too graceful.

I believe Kristi Yamaguchi, having been a professional figure skater, has the best advantage of any of the contestants. She is also very well known from participating in multiple Olympics.

The three contestants I would put money on (with a gun to my head) would be: Kristi Yamaguchi, Shannon Elizabeth or Marlee Matlin.

Priscilla Presley is likely to be way too stiff from way too many plastic surgeries.
