John McCain Romantically Linked to Vicki Iseman
The New York Times, in an article published for tomorrow’s print issue of the newspaper, romantically ties Republican Presidential front runner John McCain to Vicki Iseman. Iseman is a female lobbyist that was spotted with McCain often over the course of several weeks. McCain’s people quickly told John to distance himself from contact with Iseman.
A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.
Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.
After reading most of the article it seems that there is not a whole lot to this story. If further details emerge it could be costly to McCain’s bid for the White House. It also could help the old man out by showing that McCain can still spit mad game at a broad that is over three decades younger than the Senator.
