Aaron Carter, who rose to fame as teen singing punk, was busted in Texas for speeding and the Texas Rangers also found over two ounces of marijuana.  Carter is the younger brother of Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys fame.

TMZ has confirmed Aaron was pulled over on I-10 earlier today for speeding — and when authorities decided to search his vehicle, they found at least two ounces of pot!

Carter is spending the night in jail and is likely to be bailed out in the morning.  He will probably be slapped on the wrist and agree to rehab or perhaps a local psych ward in the Lone Star state.

Carter has dated Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, Kari Ann Peniche, Kaci Brown and Brooke Hogan.
