Jessica Simpson Hospitalized for Kidney Infection

Pop singer Jessica Simpson was hospitalized for a kidney infection on Friday according to her representatives.

The singer “has been released and is doing fine,” the rep says.

Simpson, 27, went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday after suffering a fever.

Jess is currently recording her first country album.
