Carly Smithson’s Husband Tattooed from Head to Toe
Todd Smithson is the overly-inked husband of American Idol finalist Carly Smithson. In a shocker, the two own a tattoo shop in San Diego together. Carly has numerous tattoos but she hasn’t covered her face in ink yet like her hubby.
Smithson also co-owns one-year-old San Diego tattoo shop Nothing Sacred with her tattoo artist-husband, Todd Smithson, whose face is covered in ink art.
The two met when Carly picked up Todd at the airport for one of her friends.
As for her heavily tatted-up hubby, Smithson met him at Los Angeles International Airport when a friend sent her to pick him up. After a friendship and phone romance that included Smithson travelling between California and Ireland, the pair married about three and a half years ago, Dickinson said.
“She had a tattoo before she met Todd, but they got tattooed together in Orlando. And he did her knuckle tattoo,” Dickinson said.
I searched and searched for a photo of Todd. If you watch Idol tonight check him out when they pan to the family members and friends of Carly. He kind of slumps down and tries to hide from the camera.
Will his mostly tattooed face and body turn off voters for Carly?

My girlfriend came home with a tattoo machine 2 years ago and asked me if I’d be willing to let her learn to tattoo on me. My heart skipped several beats, but I said ok. In a few hours she was ready and began to tattoo on my arm. It was the most amazing thing seeing her tattoo me and see the smile on her face as she worked. I decided I’d just let her tattoo whatever she wanted and as much. Now 2 years later she has finished tattooing me and her designs cover me head to toe. She left not one bit of my skin untattooed, every bit of me including my entire face has her designs. She had left my face unmarked until it was the only part of me not tattooed. I was unsure if she was going to tattoo my face, but 3 months ago she said she had a special Saturday planned for me. I spent the next few days preparing for it as I knew what she was planning for me. I forced myself just to relax and it was actually not that bad of a day, other than coming to terms with my new look. Now looking in the mirror to see my face is covered with tattoos I’m amazed that I did it. Amazed is a big understatement. I’m actually thrilled that I let her tattoo me as she wished, life is interesting now.
NOTE: My comment was pure crap, I did not do that! Please anyone do not do that! Todd
