‘American Idol’ Gives Michael Johns the Boot
This week’s American Idol elimination show got started with the contestants singing the Christan song ‘Shout to the Lord’. The songs used during the show last week were very Christian as well. Perhaps the producer of the show was converted within the past year.
Very surprising and nice to hear on such a main stream and successful television show. The song was written by Christian singer/songwriter Darlene Zschech in 1993.
Here is my review from last night’s Idol
Reigning American Idol winner Jordin Sparks sang ‘Air’ with R&B star Chris Brown. Jordin has become a little sex kitten in the past year since winning.
The bottom three contestants this week were Syesha Mercado, Michael Johns, and Carly Smithson.
And here is who is going home this week:
Pack Your Bags
Michael Johns (Buckhead, GA) - ‘Dream On’
Michael’s elimination is a huge shocker and let almost everyone in the studio audience and watching on TV stunned. Johns has a very successful career ahead of him. I would buy his music without thinking twice. He just can get a head start on recording his first album now. Good luck Mike!
