Dolphins Select Jake Long as #1 Pick in NFL Draft

#1 Pick Jake Long

The Miami Dolphins have signed offensive tackle Jake Long to a five year contract and will make him the #1 overall selection in Saturday’s NFL Draft. Long played his college ball at Michigan.

The contract is for five years and $57.75 million, with $30 million guaranteed.

The Dolphins were interested in trading the top pick, but no suitors surfaced — so they decided to sign Long and avoid a possible holdout.

At least Mel Kiper and crew can stop debating for hours on end about who the #1 pick in the NFL draft will be.

Congrats to Jake and all his friends and family!
