Actress Marlee Matlin was the latest casualty of the reality TV dancing contest known as Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night to be sent packing.

“I had a great time,” the Oscar-winning actress, who has been deaf since she was 18 months old, said via her longtime interpreter, Jack Jason. “Thank you to all the fans, to everyone!”

Although she initially won raves for her this-gal-can-do-anything performances (and continued to awe audiences with her smokin’ bod), the quicker Latin rounds proved to be a little much for Matlin, whose off-tempo mambo last night only mustered a 21.

The five celebrities remaining are Mario, Kristi Yamaguchi, Jason Taylor, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Cristian de la Fuente.
