Final Four: Who Will Win ‘American Idol’ Season 7?
The seventh season of American Idol is down to its final four contestants. Will the winner this season be David Archuleta, David Cook, Jason Castro, or Syesha Mercado?

David Ais good but bonestly, you can find “him” on every street corner. A winner of American Idol needs to be original, needs to be able to take any song and make it his own. That is what David Cook does. There has never been another contestant who can do this with every song he or she sings. He has a great voice and is totally unique. Remember people… this is a talent competition not a popularity contest. Sometimes I wish you were required to be at least 18 to vote that way millions of teeny boppers could not vote the wrong person to win just because he is cute!
David A has a beautiful voice, but he lacks the musical development of David Cook. David C will be a successful artist whether or not he wins this contest. Syesha will make it as a stage performer - broadway, etc, but she’s not in the same league as the Davids. Jason is simply a lovely folksy soul - he doesn’t really stand a chance (or does he??)
I have to be honest here and I mean no disrespect to DAVID A fans.
I absolutely love David Cook’s talent, originality, boldness, voice, everything about him screams American Idol. However this is a case where being that good can hurt him. Think about it. If he is so good then he doesn’t need to win in order to get a contract and be succesfull. He already is a succesfull artist and make no doubt about it, his record will sell no matter what. So, voters know this and fans know that even David doesn’t win he will be extremely succesfull so …why vote?
David Archuleta is a kid with an amazing voice (is he unique….no…not really); he is lovable, cute and can sing. But make no mistake…the cuteness factor plays a BIG factor here. Imagine David A’s voice in someone not as cute and young. Would he be in the top 3? Would he even be considered the hands down winner of AI?
Here is my prediction and I hope to God I am wrong:
Winner: David Archuleta
Second Place: David Cook
But in my book, considering everything that has been seen and heard; Billie Jean, Always Be My Baby, Phantom of the Opera, Eleanor Rigby, even Little Sparrow, in my book some of the best performances ever on AI. This season the winner should be DAVID COOK.
I am a 59 year old Father of three Daughters. I love music and I feel that I have an ear for great vocals. David A has the best vocals of any male contestant since Idol has been on television. You have to remember, this young man is only 17 and sings way beyond his years. David Cook is good but his voice is just not as strong. It will come down to the two David’s and I believe that David A will be the winner.
If David Archuleta does not win, i dont know what america was thinking. He obviosly has the best vocals, and is very consistent. im not saying that David Cook Has not sounded better then David A on some weeks, but as far as consistency goes, David A wins. there has only been 1 week where the judges did not like David A, and the only reason was because he forgot his lyrics. a simple mistake.
If everyone forgets that this is a SINGING competition, David Cook will win. If that is the case, I’m done watching American Idol!
David Cook looks like a douchebag. He doesn’t deserve to win…the true vocal talent doesn’t lie with him. He’s just a sellout that they can mold into someone to sell more records. Look at the past, people with the TRUE, real, RAW talent never win the competition.
DAVID COOK DOESN’T EVEN COME CLOSE TO DAVID A. IT’S UNBELIEVABLE THAT PEOPLE WOULD EVEN THINK THAT… IF DAVID COOK WINS THEN I’M DONE WITH AMERICAN IDOL.
