Britney Spears at Jamie Lynn Spears Baby Shower
It was a family affair Saturday as mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears had her baby shower in Kentwood, La.
About 30 guests were invited – including big sis Britney – to Kentwood for a ladies-only, catered celebration for the 17-year-old at the family’s Serenity mansion. (Spears hadn’t been back to her hometown since her aunt’s funeral early last year.)
“Jamie Lynn opened every gift,” says a source, adding that mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge’s mother lent a hand. “We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old fashioned baby shower.”
In March, the Zoey 101 star registered for baby booty at Babies “R” Us.
Though sheriff’s deputies were posted at the gate and paparazzi circled in helicopters, “it was a normal shower,” says the source. “A wonderful, sweet occasion.”
It’s nice to see that Britney’s father let her out of her cage, no?

all i have to say is. i am not all abut pregant teens but it happens. i think she may be going a little over board getting married but thats their decison not ours. haveing a child at any point in your life is hard, but it seems that everyone makes it. brittany made it. there are tons of teen girls that are pregant all over the world. so just leave Jamie Lynn, Casey, and Maddie Briann alone, i think that they’ve all had enough. at least give em a chance as a family, even if they are young.

That is horrid that you got pregent at…………16!! Or was it 17? It dosn’t really make a diffrence. Why not wait until you were like…..IDK 20 something. You are so cute and had a great life. The boy still would have loved you the same if you had waited. And if you are taking advice from your big sister Brittany. DON’T. Just look how she turned out. DON’T take any advice from her. BUT she is handling it well and mature.
Im sure she knows what she is doing an has done.
And is a good mom and a good person.
I respect her for it and It can’t be easy having to have the public watching your every move and judging everything you do.
