67% Say David Cook Over David Archuleta

I posted a poll earlier this week asking “Who Do You Want to Win American Idol Season 7?” So far to date nearly 67% are either pulling or rooting for David Cook over David Archuleta.
Perhaps the readership age of Bump is a good bit higher than all of the young teen girls that go crazy for Archuleta. I am officially pulling for Cook at this point.

David cook will win..I like archuleta, but he’s too boring for his age…..cook always does something new, and makes people (like me) look forward to see what he will do with a song. you always expect a slow inspiration from archuleta. I wouldn’t buy an archuleta cd, ut would buy a cook one.

Im into hiphop and R&B but i would so buy cook’s album…i think archuleta is to young to handle the pressures of being a star and cook bring something more awesomer all the time (new word) sooo yeah i cook always makes Memorable which is way more important then being cute and being able to only sing balleds archuleta is amazing but i think after this he will find an agent to help become a star this show just helped him become noticed by scouts and ect….well i would buy both albums if they both became famous

David Archuleta, no contest. All three judges think it’s going to be him, and the fans have gone crazy for him every single night.
If Cook wins, I will be dumbfounded.
Cook deserves it more. Who’s going to buy Archie’s cd? Teenyboppers. Who’s going to buy Cook’s cd? Women, teenagers and everybody who loves rock and roll.
Andrea you said it right…but with Cook’s choke job in the finale the winner will rather easily be Archuleta. But you are right about who will buy what.

The majority of viewers of American Idol are 13 year old girls, who think Archuleta is this God. If only they knew he was gay they wouldn’t be voting for him so much. A good voice, yes, especially for only being 17, but come on, he’s only going to win because of the 13 year old girls who are in love with him. David cook deserves to win.

..well.. although David Cook won.. I will always be a part of David Archuleta.. he (David A.) has a great voice.. He should have won “American idol”.. but there are more opportunities for him in the future..And there are a lot more chances for him to succeed.. I think he will also be like David Cook.. He became a part of all of us.. Hope all the “Archies” out there will keep on supporting David Archuleta all the way.. we Love the Davids.. specially the cute and charming ones..!!!

american idol is so rigged I will never watch it again. There is no way david cook won this fair and square. David cook cannot even touch the talent that David Archuleta has in his baby finger. Davis A got a raw deal, listen to the audience after each one sings, who gets the most applause, David A, not to mention Paula slipping to david cook more than once “You are the American idol” even after he sucked.Hmmm, also not to mention how David A cost american idol lots of money by singing some lyrics in the stand by me song. American idol pissed about that, what about Paula commenting on 2 songs after they only sang 1. Now you tell me this show is not rigged.
Cook will fade away in months, Archuleta will last for years and years to come. Cook has to scream his lyrics, I have actually fast forwarded through his performances, Archuleta has the voice of an angel, no matter what he sings I am left with a peaceful feeling. I am astonished by David Archuleta and I know all his fans feel the same way. We love you David A !!!!!!!!!!!!
Think you are so wrong. I am one of the people who voted my fingers off for Cook and there were just more of us than voting for Archy. Both Davids are really good and will do well.
I am so right about this. I have been around the mucis industry all my life I think I know the difference between a screamer and a TRUE singer. Record sales will tell all. American Idol is a SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its the producers’ fault because they kept pimping DC.. Thats soo unfair , why do they kept DA from choosing the songs he liked.

AT and T announced that 78million of the votes were text messages. Considering that one person can text 4000 times in 4 hours and considering that most of us don’t have ATandT to text with and can only use the phone, how can anyone think this is a fair vote? Get real people. It is so rigged just so the show and ATand T can make money it isn’t even funny. I got about 15 calls through in the first two hours and the rest were busy signals. I had to go to bed because I work early.
We liked different things about both Davids. David A’s singing gives me chills, David Cook’s singing was a bit more hip. DA sounded calming like Kenny Loggins, DC had more performance ups and downs but was a more “entertaining” performer. I really loved DA’s “Imagine” and also loved Cook’s “Billy Jean”. They both seem like genuine, good guys, and they’ll both be successful I’m sure. In the long run, I think DA will be better off not winning the title. Just look at Clay Aiken’s success as the runner up! Cook can carry the media frenzy more professionally, BUT, we’re anxiously awaiting DA’s first CD which we will buy!
I’ve been involved with music for most of my life and it was clear to me from the start that David Archuleta was the young artist with the best pitch, style, range, and vocal technique. The Idol judges clearly indicated their preference for David over and over again. The comments by the professional musicians and producers that were guests on the program regularly gave David glowing praise using words like “he is a child prodigy” and “you bring tears to my eyes” etc. I liked David Cook and wish him all the best in his career, but in my opinion, his vocals were off pitch, sometimes unintelligable, had poor dynamics and just don’t compare to David A. I’m not sure what happened with the American Idol voting tabulation, but the results make no sense to me and seem very unfair. I can’t blame his mother for feeling terrible at the Nikon Theater during the final performances where David crushed the competition so said the judges. I think if you were to bring together any group of professional musicians, David Archuleta would be the clear winner. David you are wonderful….don’t forget it!
