Last night debuted the first episode of E!’s new reality TV show called Living Lohan which stars Lindsay Lohan’s mom Dina Lohan and kid sister Ali Lohan.  The one key ingredient missing from the show is Lindsay herself.  However, she is not forgotten as mom and sis mention her or what she is doing throughout the 30 minute show.

Sure, the half-hour premiere (at 9:30 p.m.) ostensibly is all about hard-driving stage mom/manager Dina Lohan’s efforts to now launch younger daughter Ali’s music career. But Lindsay is referenced in virtually every scene. The closest she comes to actually appearing is a one-sided phone conversation Dina has with her — asking about yet another tabloid rumor.

The first episode ends on a cliffhanger as Ali confronts aspiring record producer Jeremy Green with a newspaper story she found online. In it, Green coyly avoids confirming or denying he’s in a relationship with Lindsay Lohan. He had been providing some songs for Ali, but the story shocked the Lohans because, as Ali points out, ”Lindsay’s never laid eyes on him … she’s never met him.”

Hogan Knows Best truly turned Hulk Hogan’s family from a semi-normal celeb fam into the most dysfunctional family in the news currently.  Perhaps Living Lohan can have the opposite effect on the Lohan’s and turn them into a sweet, caring and normal clan.
