David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell Heat It Up
American Idol winner David Cook and season two contestant Kimberly Caldwell have started dating according to OK! magazine.
The newly crowned American Idol champ no longer seems unattached as he was captured out on date with season two contestant Kimberly Caldwell by TMZ over the weekend.
And sorry ladies – he hopes there’s more to come.
“I went out on a date the other day with a woman named Kimberly Caldwell,” the 25-year-old ‘fessed up on Live with Regis and Kelly Tuesday morning. “I did [have a good time]. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”
I would say that life is looking pretty good for Cook at the moment. Hopefully Caldwell is not trying to latch onto him to regain her 15 minutes of fame.

I hope that the people who criticize Kim Caldwell and say that David Cook can do better actually know both of them. Which I doubt. How can someone make such comments without know the two of them? Maybe David Cook is nice on camera but different in real life? Maybe he really is a nerd, he said he was a slob, maybe he’s also a bad kisser and bad in bed, who knows. Maybe Kim is a great person. Maybe they’re both nice people. We get only a very small glimpse of what people are about, and the media tends to filter facts to make up their own story with the info they want to communicate.
I think David Cook will be able to figure out who the gold diggers are, and if he can’t, then maybe he deserves one

Some of my guy friends are like David … totally oblivious to women manipulating and using them! Poor guy, he seems to wear his heart on his sleeve. He is going to get eaten alive by these types of superficial/coat-tail riding women in Hollywood, starting with Kim Caldwell. This AI thing may end up being a curse to him, in terms of his personal life. This guy needs to wake up or have people close to him advise him appropriately! Mommy Cook, cookie boy needs your advice!
I think he’s just being nice for now. Once his fame skyrockets even more, Kimberly will be out like a bad trend.
