Ed McMahon, who served as Johnny Carson’s trusty sidekick for many years on the Tonight Show, is having his house foreclosed on by his lending company.

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that McMahon was $644,000 in arrears on a $4.8 million loan for a home in Beverly Hills, California.

McMahon’s spokesman, Howard Bragman, confirmed to CNN late Tuesday that McMahon is in discussions with his lender and hopes to find a resolution.

I honestly believed that Ed was dead.  So first of all I am glad he is alive and secondly I have no clue how an established entertainment veteran like Ed is such dire financial need.  I guess he didn’t win the Publisher Clearing House sweepstakes.
