Paul Burrell, who was once a royal butler to the Royal family and Princess Diana, is denying that he ever had a romantic or sexual relationship with the late princess.

He said he was “sad and hurt” by his brother-in-law Ron Cosgrove’s claims, reported in the News of the World, and said there was “not one one shred of truth to any of the claims pertaining to my service with either the princess, or Her Majesty the Queen”.

Mr Burrell, 50, added that he was a “diligent and professional employee” who acted appropriately and with integrity at all times.

Burrell’s brother-in-law, Ron Cosgrove, claims that Burrell boasted to him and others about having slept with Diana as well as having seen Queen Elizabeth in the nude.

He said they did it in the bedroom, the bath, everywhere – the butler`s relative said.

Brother-in-law Ron Cosgrove gave an exclusive interview for today`s issue of the British paper. The butler told him in 1993 about the time he spent with the princess in bed. Among other things, Cosgrove claims Burrell told him that he accidentally saw the Queen naked on one occasion. After Diana`s death, the butler allegedly asked his relatives to hide two large bags full of her jewellery and clothes.

Paul told me that he’d get a call from Diana in the middle of the night specifically to have sex with her. He said she was very sexually demanding – said the butler`s brother-in-law.

I am willing to speculate that Burrell likely did sleep with Diana and is now lying about it to protect her memory and likely save face with his wife.  However Cosgrove could be lying as well and attempting to sell the story to make money or exact some kind of revenge on Burrell.
