Oscar Winner Stan Winston Dead at 62

RIP Stan Winston

Four time Oscar winner Stan Winston has passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 62. He died after a seven year battle with multiple myeloma.

Winston won four visual effects Oscars and earned multiple nominations. His first Oscar was for James Cameron’s “Aliens” (1986). Winston later won two Oscars for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (1992) (visual effects and makeup) and 1993′s “Jurassic Park.”

Stan will be missed dearly by those in the industry and close to him.
