WWE Chairman Vince McMahon Seriously Injured
Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE Wrestling, was severley injured Monday night in a freak accident in San Antonio. The accident happened at the end of the telecast after he had just given away $500,000 dollars.
Moments after giving away $500,000 in “McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania,” the WWE Chairman appeared to be severly injured in a bizarre accident when lighting equipment crashed onto the stage and a large electric sign toppled onto him at the AT&T Center.
The extent of any injuries were not known at press time, however, the WWE Chairman was immediately treated at the scene by paramedics who fitted him with a neck brace, loaded him onto a stretcher and rushed him to a local medical facility via ambulance.
I am not sure what to say at the moment about this. Part of me wants to feel sympathy for McMahon and wish him a quick recovery. The other part of me is telling me this is a cheap stunt by the shameless McMahon to bring more attention to his sport company. The E in WWE stands for ‘Entertainment’ and Vince is kinda like the lil’ boy who cried wolf with some of the similar stunts he has pulled on the show before.
WWE will hold a press conference tomorrow live that will be streamed live on WWE.com at 1 pm CST.

Just a suggestion…I watched it live last night, and straightaway in my mind, I thouhgtght maybe its the undertaker who could be doing it?
On the other hand it could just a be a freak accident. From the live scenes it did not look like that it was planned!
if this was an accident they would not have had the cameras right in there this was planned the whole time.
It looked completely staged, but they did play it off like it wasn’t with him calling Triple H by his real name.
Or maybe it’s God getting back at him for beating him and Shawn Michaels a couple years ago. Never know.

yea i dnt think that was rlly fake…that seem like it would be to risky to pull a stunt like that cuz that could have easily gone wrong and killed him…the last stunt he did with the exploding limo they actually filmed that part of the show the nite before but this was live
He is crying wolf so many times that I refuse to get sucked in this time…I was so upset (well not really) when they reported he was dead and then it was just a ploy. His antics on the show shouldn’t carry on to real life too…
Well i dont now what to think i mean i heard awile back that the McMahon Million Dollar Mania was going to end so maybe this is the way in witch they could end it but i have to agree with other comments that it could be a stunt done by Vince himself i mean after he faked his own death last year in that limo explotion i wouldent put it past him to do something like that again. I heard a comment about it could possably be the Undertaker who caused the scafolding to fall on Vince it could be the first sine of his return but if it was Taker wouldent he go after La Familia instead but he has had alot of history with the chairman a legendery rivalry that lasted from 1998-2003 could Taker be useing his old enemy to scare Edge and Vicky Guerrero.
I mean i wouldnet put it past Vince to have made all this happend i mean a little thing like hurting his family doent bother him i mean this comming from a man who faced his own Son Shane McMahon in a Street Fight at Wrestlemania X-7 and his Daughter Stephanie Leversque in a I Quit Match at No Mercy 2003 not to mention always cheating on his wife Linda McMahon so if he can do all that to his family a little thing like faking ya own death is like nothing
How gullible can you guys be? It’s all part of a storyline! It was a coordinated stunt that is part of the TV show. When you see a credible news site report his injury, then give it some merit. WWE.com is simply advancing the storyline. I watched the show, and apparently they did a great job of selling the injury because you guys are actually trying to figure out what is real…
It might have been an accident.Something similar to this happened after TNA slammaversary and one of the TNA crew members died that night.
Sorry folks, this is a complete stunt. Last year when Vince “died” in an exploding car, he turned up 1-2 weeks later in the middle of an empty ring in an empty arena talking about the death of Chris Benoit. Before this airing they even made out he was dead on Raw by having a 12 bell salute with all the Superstars out paying their respects. Vince McMahon can do ANYTHING he likes to get attention (give away money, get people to kiss his ass), but I honestly don’t think faking your own death this year, or last year, is the way forward.
(Sorry, that’s just a joke)
I also don’t think that it’s a valid excuse to stop giving away money every week. If he wants to say “right that’s it, I’m not giving away anymore” no-one would complain. Vince has more of a right to complain at the level of stupidity of the people he’s had to call up to talk to who have won the money
If a WWE Wrestler dies in the next 2 weeks then its a curse. If I were McMahon I wouldn’t want to tempt fate twice. He should have just disappeared for a while (like so many superstars do) then come back in 3-4 months with more of a tan.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Raw, but there are boundaries to entertainment that have been crossed twice in 2 years.
Rewatch the “accident” on wwe.com, and you can see that sign that is apparently falling was rigged to trip just at the right time, and Vince had ducked to miss it as it was falling and was clearly out of harms way. Everyone I know swears it’s another one of his stunts.
There was a dude up in the scafolding
I have a stage production company and happened to watch this show on USA. It was easily staged based on the camera angles that was used - everything was shot/cut to/angled perfectly and in sync to what was taking place, and as also stated previously, the lighting rig was easily rigged as you can see the trip mechanism as well as the angled brackets that just so happen to create a perfect fall. In addition, there’s no continuity with whatever fell, the sparks on the stage, and then the lighting truss - they’re all independent and nothing took place that would ‘ironically’ cause a truss to fall - it just doesn’t happen, and it doesn’t fall in the middle where there just happened to be a bracket. These things are so sturdy and just don’t move. Good tv, of course!
Vince McMahon has a given heart. I have been a fan since I was 8 years old. Now I’m 29 years old. I was very distraught when the limo car exploded and turned out he was alive. I actually cried. Even though there was a real tragedy around it , I will not discuss. Even though he gets booed or disrespected because he is who he is, or how he is. But his kind heart tried to reach out to more fans, or viewers. He gave us the Undertaker , The Rock, Triple H, Heartbreaker”Sean Michaels”, Kane, Batista, and our DIVASand so many others. We especially get to see King “Jerry Lawler” and JR and Mick Foley on commentary. Mr.McMahon has kept alot alive. And part of me hope this is a stunt, because I believe WWE has suffered enough of losing our great wrestlers whether it’s due to natural causes, intentional, or accidental. But in my heart Mr.MCMAHON has done alot for our wrestling future and if he is truly hurt MAY GOD BE WITH HIM BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, WRESTLING WOULD NOT BE WHERE IT IS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! And my prayers are seriously with the family for his SPEEDY RECOVERY! And if it is a stunt he sure does know how to make his MONEY. Because if it is a stunt we all would keep on watching indefinitly. VERANA MORALES. And I still don’t believe anyone can replace our MR.McMahon.

Give me a break. This is so obviously a kayfabe that anyone who would believe differently must have their head stuck where the light don’t shine. If Vince didn’t want to give away anymore of his millions he should have just said so. That’s what this is all about.
It was totally staged. I can’t believe people would think it was real. That’s very silly.
As far as someone saying Vince McMahon is shameless- duh- it’s television, it’s acting– is it shameless when someone is “injured” in a movie? Jeez.
One of the first things I thought is it’s going to be a storyline with some wrestler he “wronged” or something.
I believe this was a stunt, though a risky one. Unless the wrestlers who were trying to lift the sign were faking the actual weight of it, it seems that the sign could have collapsed the wall that Vince was hiding behind. But, if you consider that this incident took place at a precise moment at the end of the RAW broadcast AND that it’s the last RAW broadcast before a big pay-per-view event AND Vince has upset a few ‘characters’ in the WWE lately (as usual) including the very manipulative, scheming, evil, and unlikable Vickie Guerrero and Edge, then it seems pretty obvious that this whole thing is for publicity. To think about it from another perspective, Vince has 3 weeks of giving away big money, which draws in more viewers. Then, he has an “accident” less than a week from a pay-per-view event, which will probably bring in more subscribers to that event than usual because people are drawn to the drama and want to see what’s going to happen next and hope that he ‘gets better’ and starts giving away money again. It’s basically a staged tragic event that’s part of a story line with the intentions of making a rich man richer. Of course, I’ll be tuned in every week to see what happens next.
I know King Kong Mike Khoury who wrestled in the mid 90’s —look it up. Anyway, Mike says Vince always takes care of his people and does NOT want anyone hurt. Mike would not admit it was a stunt, but as big as he is, who is going to argue with him. Anyway, it was great TV…..no one expected that ending!!!!
I completely agree with Courtney on this one. At first I was so sure that it was part of the storyline…until Vince called Triple H “Paul”. When he used Triple H’s real name, I started to think that perhaps it started as a stunt but something went wrong. Hell; the fact that Triple H was even at Vince McMahon’s side, concerned about his well being, made me think this could be real. On the other hand, if it was real I think it would be all over the news, just like the death of Owen Hart.

It was a stunt he was in the daze look he had when his limo exploded same actions, where were guards when all this was happening no where. An the money was gone before he left the stage and then all of sudden it was under him. Why would you just stand there when he could went back stage. An if he was really hurt why didn’t they go to commerical like they did when owen hart died accident. I don’t know the show is getting way out of hand. It still makes me mad that he faked his death and his family went along with story. An then out of blue came on tv when Chris Benoit died. I couldn’t believe it. An people sending there sympathy cards andflowers.

I’ve watched wrestling and been to matches for ten years enjoyed them, but now its getting way out of hand when you have to fake deaths, and have accidents to get ratings.
watch the video , watch the bottom of the sign that fell, you can see the latches trip that let the sign fall and also see the hinges that the sign swivel on. And vince clearly ducks before the sign hits the wall. To me it was not even a believeable stunt, the timing was off. How could anyonje believe that..geesh..
Vince McMahon seems to be doing to his best to destroy professional wrestling. He single-handedly manipulated and contrived every angle to disintegrate regional wrestling associations, which are the foundation of this sport, and does his best to take the manhood out of every pro who steps in “his” ring. McMahon continually treats us as fans like the biggest idiots ever born-simply for enjoying the sport of professional wrestling. He has turned it into a very high-priced circus. I have been watching wrestling for almost 30 years (Von Erich’s #1!!!!) and I don’t have any intention of stopping now–thanks again,vince, for destroying the NWA-along with every organization with it., but, come on, we have had enough. Just let the guys get in the ring and wrestle-we’ll watch..really.
I do appreciate the Hall of Fame stuff, and the tributes he gives to the boys, but can someone make him shut-up and go home, and leave things alone. Please!!!!!
well half of me tells me its not fake becoz lots of people came in to rescue him and is its not fake they woudn’t do it becoz its too risky to have a stunt in there. the other half is maybe its fake becoz remember the limo explode thingie? i thought he was dead but weeks later he showed up at wwe and maybe its fake becoz if its not fake, there will be a commercial and they wont put the cameras right in there. so we really dont know wats the truth right now.
you kids are so silly. WWE is an entertainment show, not a sport. every thing that has ever happened on that show is fake and scripted(planned out). Have you guys ever noticed that the “punches” never connect to someones face? WRESTLING IS FAKE! The only thing that was real and NOT planned out was when Owen Wilson fell almost 100ft to his death while dropping in to the ring from a rope that snapped(about 10 years ago). Other than that, everything that has ever happened in the history of the WWE is FAKE! Let’s be serious, if you got “power-bombed” by someone who wanted to hurt you, do you think you would get up without a serious back injury? NO! You would probably be crippled. Wrestling has ALWAYS BEEN FAKE! Yes it’s entertaining, as long as you don’t think about the “FAKENESS” of it. If you want to see something “REAL,” go watch some cage fighting. WWE IS JUST AS FAKE AS SANTA CLAUS AND THE EASTER BUNNY!!!

If anything serious happened, the show would instantly go off. When Owen Hart died, they cut the show off (PPV) before he even hit the ring! Thats how fast they would shut the show off. Don’t get me wrong, I like to watch WWE every now and again, its entertaining, but I know in the back of my mind, it’s FAKE! My guess is the stage falling apart on Vince McMahon is a storyline to bring the Undertaker back from his retirement. Bring him back to his old, DARK self. Then he will truely retire with dignity in about a year.
well guys let me tell you what happend it was not reall it was fake for all you guys know wrestlemania 25 is in houston texas whitch is the home of the undertaker so you know he will be there as for his stunt on stage it was randy orton who did it. he has a couple months left on his contract after his baby is born he is going to tna whitch is closer to his family ive been a wrestling freak my whole life i know it all so. now you know it was orton who did it .
Well honestly I think that Kane might be involved in that storyline too… I just remind you the RAW episode from 7th july 2008 where he muttered “Is he alive or dead” (he being the Taker in this case) or are they trying to build some kind of relationship between Kane and Vince?! I don’t think so but we never know… Anyways… I am looking forward to the day where the Taker comes back and we all should know that he will come back… maybe Vicky is going to try to punish Edge for cancelling the wedding

I think that was a stunt to raise the ratings, however, I am skeptical because of the other incident in which Vince was presumed dead, but showed up later when Chris Benoit died. If he is indeed hurt, I do hope he have a speedy recovery.
